Faith Based Trauma Response

Level One:  Introduction to FBTR  (4 Hours)

This level of training focuses on providing a basic understanding of trauma and provides an overall philosophy of care from a faith based perspective.

4.  Understanding the Active Heart

Level Two:  Basic  (4 Hours)

This level of training focuses on Biblical and theological underpinnings for understanding suffering and trials.  It also presents sound strategies for truly ministering to those who are suffering.

2.  Finding Meaning in the Madness: A Biblical Understanding of Suffering
3.  Heart Focused Praying
4.  The Prominent Role of Scripture
5.  Suffering and the Psalms
6.  Keeping Eternity in View
 
Level Three:  Advanced  (4 Hours)

This level of training focuses on particular populations and issues and how to minister effectively to them in the aftermath of a traumatic event.  It also keys in on advanced preparation for trauma response.

1.  How What We Believe Impacts How We Respond to Trauma
2.  Preparing for Trauma
3.  FBTR and Non-Believers
4.  Responding Onsite at Job And School
5.  Total Recovery:  From Victim to Overcomer
6.  Ministering to the Caregivers
 
Level Four:  Certified FBTR Provider  (4 Hours)

This level of training focuses on role play, vignettes, and other interactive demonstrations to insure the preparedness of responders.
